The God Who Restores

Meditating today on the God who restores.  

In the story of Job, we see the loss that Job experiences.  I love this verse, where Job declares that God's plans are unstoppable.  Plans for good, for life, for freedom, for healing, for restoration.  

Job 42:2, 10, 12 (God's Word Translation)  
Job: “I know that you can do everything and that your plans are unstoppable"...  After Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored Job’s prosperity and gave him twice as much as he had before...The Lord blessed the latter years of Job’s life more than the earlier years.

Job prayed for his friends, the very ones who let him down during a difficult time.  After he prayed for his friends, God restored Job's prosperity and blessed him with more than he had lost.
